My band released a video yesterday for our song ‘Field of Hearts.’ This was such a fun experience, we recorded all of it at Olin Park in Madison, Wisconsin. I learned a lot about videography and editing, including how awkward it is to be on camera…hellooooo close-ups!! But overall, I am so proud to have been apart of this project and I’m grateful for all of the help we received in making it possible.
The inspiration behind the story might be interesting to some of my long-term WordPress friends, we loosely based the idea from a piece I wrote and published on here March 31, 2013: Muse Writer – The Queen of Hearts
Looking back now, I posted this three years prior to the day that The Fancy Pears played our first show at the High Noon Saloon in Madison and almost four years prior from the present. Crazy how everything seems to come full circle!

Many of you know that I claim to be a writer, whatever that really means, but what some of my WordPress friends might not know is that I also like to sing and play guitar/mandolin!
My band The Fancy Pears has finally released our first song “Sunsweat.” I’m so excited to be able to share this with everyone. We’ve been working nonstop the last couple of months to make this happen and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I love these guys!

The time is near
To begin this life of leisure
Just kidding, I’m typically functioning
On four hours of sleep daily
Working through the sunlight to
Afford playing at night
Splitting self in half to
Continue the dream of this double life
The time has come and
Has given life to thoughts about
Fluttering butterflies that
Are dying to get out
From the pit of my stomach as
They fly towards my throat
Choking me senseless
On my anticipation and hope
I am grateful for The Fancy Pears lol we have our first major show tomorrow woo! ❤ http://www.thefancypears.com
Hey Everyone, welcome to Friday! I wanted to send out a quick message to promote a band I love named ‘The Chromaphones.’ They are based out of Madison, Wisconsin and give off a funk/jam band vibe. They are releasing their newly recorded album tomorrow (Recorded, mixed, and mastered by drummer Will Bailey) titled “Friday the 32nd.” I am super stoked about it!
The album is titled after the same song of its name as an instrumental, written by keyboardist Graham Marlowe. Lead vocals and guitar are shared by Tim Coughlin Jr and Cheyne Trost, who also switch out bass between songs. A couple of my favorites are “Don’t Wanna Know,” “Venus,” “Unrequited,” and “My Vitamins.”
I am so proud of these guys and I can’t wait to share their music with you.

I am grateful for friends and music ❤️
I woke up from a dream and I lost control
I rubbed the dirt from my eyes
And I see nothing but the night below
And I hear the wind on all sides
I watch the hands on the clock
I slip through the sands of time
Visions blurred, unspoken words
Have I lost my mind?
I find myself so alone
Starring back at everyone
Bodies pass me by
With their empty eyes
I walk with you between these old bones
Among, the crooked rows, of lost and broken stones
Black phantoms marching, their footsteps pass me by
And I hear nothing but the sounds of snow
I watch the spirits rise
